10 Commandments of Trading

Blog Introduction

On 4th September 2025, I had the privilege of speaking at a seminar organised by 5paisa at Hotel Hindustan, Kolkata.

My session was titled “10 Commandments of Trading” — a distilled framework of trading wisdom I have learnt through years of practice, research, and mistakes.

For those who could not attend, and for those who wish to revisit the session, I am sharing the presentation PDF here. It contains the core principles I discussed — practical rules that can guide both beginners and seasoned traders to approach trading with more clarity and conviction.

For the benefit of readers who have bought the E-book, Chapter # 26 Blueprint for Trading Success contains a detailed discussion on the 10 Commandments of Trading, with expanded insights beyond what was shared in the presentation.

This blog post is not a substitute for the live seminar, but a resource you can return to, reflect on, and apply in your trading journey.

May these 10 Commandments serve as a compass whenever markets seem noisy and confusing.
